New Farmer Membership Launch

Over the last dozen years Friends of Family Farmers has grown into an important voice for Oregon’s independent family farmers, food advocates and concerned citizens.

What unites us? Our shared belief in a food system that respects the land, treats animals humanely, sustains local communities, and provides a viable livelihood for family farmers.

We’ve had some big victories along the way, and we’ve created valuable resources for family farmers, like the Oregon Pasture Network and Oregon Farm Link. But there’s much more that needs to be done.

To continue this work and expand our impact, FoFF needs to mobilize a broader base of producers who’ll speak up and act on behalf of family farms.

If you're a farmer or rancher, we need you to help us help you! Please join today as a new Farmer Member or read more about our new Farmer membership program here.

OPN's Forage Management Course A Hit

Renowned forage expert Dr. Woody Lane of Lane Livestock Services once again provided top-quality instruction during an intensive 3-day workshop on Grazing, Soils, & Pastures. Almost 20 producers attended the course held at the Beavercreek Grange in Oregon City.

As one attendee said, “I’ve been practicing sustainable farming and rotational grazing on my farm for 13 years and took away a ton of knowledge and inspiration from this class."

See You at Your Local Farmers Market

We might not all be farmers, but we’re all eaters. Are you one of the tens of thousands of eaters who love shopping at Farmers Markets? In addition to voting with every bite, Good Food Supporters are a constituency and have power. Imagine if our decision-makers knew just how many of us there are! To reach out and introduce ourselves to more folks, FoFF will be tabling at several farmers markets this summer. Please stop by to say hello and tell us what you most love about FoFF! Look for us in Portland, Bend, Corvallis, Madras, and Prineville.

Want to hang out with us and help spread the word? Volunteer for FoFF at your local Farmers Market.
