Virtual Farmer Social
Zoom Meeting
Monday, July 13th, 7:30pm
Join us for our virtual Farmer Social on July 13th at 7:30pm to continue our conversation about farmer's roles at the intersection of food justice and racial justice. We believe that holding a space on a regular basis for these conversations will help us find solutions and resources for Oregon now and in the future.
Many of us in FoFF's network grow food as an act of resistance. Whether it is to combat the industrialization of our food system, to bring healthy, wholesome food to market, or to train the next generation of farmers, we often have food justice goals for our farms. But food justice does not happen in a vacuum. Join us for a reflection on the events of the past months and a discussion of how small and mid-sized family farmers can move forward.
This is a safe place to share where you as an agricultural producer fit in, or to ask your fellow farmers and ranchers for more information and perspectives. We thank you in advance for making this a peaceful discussion that respects the lives of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in Oregon and around the world. We want to create a space for the people who make up the local food system to talk to each other about how we can dismantle the mechanisms that oppress our fellow farmers, neighbors, and friends. All farmers, ranchers and farmworkers are welcome.

***Please note***
This is a space for farmers to talk to their fellow producers. As an industry, direct-to-consumer and market farmers need a space to talk to their peers about technical solutions to problems that put the future of their businesses in question. We love and appreciate the support of eaters and community members during this difficult time, but if you are not an agricultural producer who is actively selling food or farm products to your community this season, please do not join this call. We have other programs that are open to the whole community, and are doing our best to make relevant information available to our loyal local food supporters. Thank you for keeping this a forum just for farmers and ranchers to connect.
