We Stand in Solidarity

Our hearts ache as we see the ongoing violence against black and brown people across the country. We recognize and accept that if we’re not part of the solution, then we’re part of the problem. We stand in solidarity with those fighting for their lives: we see you, we hear you. We commit to being actively anti-racist in our work as an organization and in our personal lives.

 Oregon Pasture Network's New Website

Friends of Family Farmers is excited to launch the brand new website for the Oregon Pasture Network (OPN). The OPN website serves as a product guide and an educational resource for customers to find pastured producers in their vicinity. The network has meat of all kinds, dairy, and eggs, and some farms offer veggies as well. With 65 farms across the state, all selling direct to consumers, there is an option for most of us to enjoy the bounty of Oregon’s pastures!

Farmers/Ranchers: Are you interested in learning more about our network of pasture based meat producers? Contact opn@friendsoffamilyfarmers.org.

Meat Processing Bottleneck Hurts Small Producers

Read more about our efforts and how you can help on our blog and join us Thursday, June 25th at 6:30pm for our  InFARMation: Pasture to Plate - Breaking Down Small Scale Meat Processing

Farm Aid's COVID-19 Farmer Resilience Initiative

The concert promoting, family farm advocate and supporter Farm Aid launched a Farmer Relief Fund in late April. Their experience dealing with disasters makes clear that quickly-deployed relief money, no matter the amount, is critical to the resilience of farmers navigating crises.

Friends of Family Farmers is on the PNW Team, helping with the process and will be distributing checks to farmers in Oregon, Washington and Alaska.

Farmers who have contracted COVID-19 and farmers of color/BIPOC will be prioritized. The very short application window for farmers to apply opens June 8. Watch our website and social media for the link!
